Early Childhood and Elementary educationAsbury United Methodist Church is seeking individuals with experience in Early Childhood and Elementary education for Sunday morning positions beginning in May 2013.
Interested applicants should have experience working with children ages 6 weeks to 1st grade in classroom settings, following a lesson plan, communicating and interacting with parents, and working as a team with other staff and volunteers.
Employees must pass a background check and, within 90 days of hire, obtain a First Aid/CPR certification.
In addition to working 8:30am-12:30pm every Sunday mornings, employees will also have the opportunity to sub during weekday morning and evening childcare throughout the week.

employment@asburytulsa.org Associate Music DirectorAsbury currently offers several worship services each with a different style of music. This position is in charge of traditional music which is offered in two services. One service is small and simple. It focuses on congregational singing, occasional small choir, piano accompaniment, and communion. The second is our largest service and makes use of a full choir, orchestra, and organ. Sunday morning worship is the primary responsibility. There is some scope for special groups and events. This position reports to the worship coordinator.

This position reports to the executive director and is therefore part of the senior leadership of the church. The managing director of ministries will cover global and local outreach, care and marriage, and some lay-led ministries. In addition to the leaders and staff of the ministries, there are other groups with which the director must work: management team, pastor team, lay councils and groups, and individual members as needed. This position participates in, and sometimes directly guides, development of comprehensive church strategies. Strong management experience of at least 10 years is required, preferably with some experience in nonprofits, though not required.
