The purpose of Asbury’s Celebrate Recovery ministry is to fellowship and celebrate God's healing power in our lives through the "Eight Recovery Principles” and “Christ-centered 12-Steps” based on the Beatitudes. Weekly meetings include a fellowship dinner, large and small groups, ending with dessert and fellowship. This is a powerful and exciting recovery ministry for anyone humble enough to admit to the effect of sin on his or her life.
Stephen Ministers are members who have been trained to provide a listening ear and a helping presence for others who need support while they struggle through life's rough times. The Stephen Minister works on a one-to-one basis with his or her care receiver and keeps all sharing strictly confidential. No fees are charged for the services. If you are confronted with one of those times in life when things are difficult, perhaps you can find assistance by sharing with a Stephen Minister.
Through a variety of ongoing support groups, Asbury wants to bring hurting people closer to Christ in a loving atmosphere. These groups are grounded in a biblical worldview and are surrounded in prayer. All support groups are available to anyone in the Tulsa area.
