VOX is the Latin word for voice, and that is what this publication is all about. The idea for VOX came out of the recognized need for the younger adults at Asbury to have a place to share their perspectives, stories, culture, ministries, and faith with one another and with the church as a whole.
VOX will cover issues of culture and faith relevant to those of us who have grown up not knowing life without “Star Wars” and would rather watch “Lost,” The Office” or “Grey’s Anatomy” than “Dallas” or “M*A*S*H.” VOX will explore some topics that we are confronted with in our daily lives, but might be deemed too “dangerous” to discuss by some.
We hope that VOX will help us engage in the ministries of Asbury by highlighting the Bible Studies, community groups and service opportunities that specifically target and are most relevant to the post-Baby Boomer generations.
In addition to helping us connect with the ministries of Asbury, our desire is that VOX will help the ministries of Asbury connect with us! VOX is a platform and launching point for increased ministry with our generation at Asbury.
