How can we serve you? We're glad you're our guest! Whatever your need might be, we will do our best to meet it. Perhaps you would like to visit with a pastor, explore Christianity, join a support group, or find a place to make new friends. Altar Prayer - If you would like someone to pray with you during Holy Communion or immediately following the worship service, please come to the altar rail. A pastor or member of the Altar Prayer Team will pray with you regarding physical, emotional or spiritual needs, at the altar or in the prayer room.

Asbury Family News and Calendar of Events are available at the Welcome Centers.

Asbury Exploration - Would you like to learn more about becoming a member of Asbury? Come to Asbury Exploration, April 6, 12:15-2:15 pm, CLC. Lunch provided, childcare available for 6 weeks to 12 years old. Call 392-1191 to register.

Upcoming Events

SummerSong Registration - Week long music camp for kids entering 4th -7th grades, June 2-6. Forms available in the music office, and will be taken Monday, May 5 - Thursday, May 8, from 10:00 am - 4:00 pm and Sunday, May 11, from 8:00-10:30 am and 12:00-12:30 pm. Limited spaces available!

Men's Prayer Breakfast - Join us in the CLC each Wednesday morning from 6:30-7:30 am for a great breakfast ($3), strong worship, an inspirational devotion and powerful prayer.

Women of the Word - Wednesday mornings, 10:00-11:00 am, Rm 2319. Providing women with an opportunity to examine the scriptures together. Led by Pastor Darlene Johnson.

Eating Disorder Recovery - For individuals seeking support in the recovery process. Meets every Wednesday, noon in Rm 1621. Bring sack lunch.

Metro Worship - For students, grades 7-12. Wednesday, May 7, 7:00-8:30 pm at Believers Church. If you need a ride, meet at Asbury at 6:45 pm, return by 9:00 pm.

Life Hurts, God Heals Graduation - Friday, May 9. Students, if you completed this 13-week program, don't miss graduation! Meet at Asbury at 5:30 pm and be done by 9:00 pm.

Students "Called to Ministry" - Special meeting for students, grades 10, 11, 12, who feel called to future vocational ministry. Sunday, May 11, 12:30-2:00 pm in the Student Ministry area. Lunch will be provided. RSVP to Amy at 392-1156 by Thursday, May 8.

Celebrate Recovery - Have something that gets in the way between you and God? Come join fellow strugglers in a safe place. Every Monday night, 6:00-9:00 pm, for dinner, worship and small groups. All are welcome.

Pathways through Grief - Come be with others who have been where you and find hope and healing. Tuesdays, May 13-August 5, 7:00-8:30 pm, room 2500. Call 392-1191 to register.

Car Care Saturday - May 17, 9:00 am - 12:00 pm. For Asbury widows and single moms! Free check of tires, belts, fluids, filters, and batteries by our Men's Ministry. Includes wash and vacuum. No reservations required, just have your vehicle in line by 11:30 am.

Graduation Celebration - Sunday, May 18 in 11:00 am Chapel and Sanctuary services. Students meet in the Student Café at 10:30 am wearing cap and gown. Special lunch for grads and families following service. Lunch RSVP required, contact Amy, 392-1156, by Wednesday, May 7.

  • Children's Ministry Programming Assistant - 25 hour per week, includes Wednesday nights, Upward Basketball assistance, all children's events outside of Sunday morning and daytime office work. Should have a love for children with strong administrative and computer skills along with the ability to creatively teach Bible lessons.   • Part-Time Sunday Early Childhood Associate - 20 hours per week, includes Sunday mornings and weekly preparation. Must have a love for children, administrative/computer skills, and ability to recruit, train, and mentor volunteers serving children, infant to 23 months.   • Part-Time Sunday Nursery Staff Positions - 10-15 hours per week, includes Sundays, 8:30 am - 12:30 pm in the Asbury Nursery, plus childcare for weekday and weeknight core hours. Should have a love for children, flexible schedule, attention to order and leadership, and willingness to portray Christian beliefs and values to children and families.   • Asbury's Children's Ministry is collecting small sundry items for our troops serving overseas through the Blue Star Mother's. Large donation boxes and a complete list of items needed are located in front of the preschool and elementary gathering areas. Donation deadline is Memorial Day, Sunday, May 25.
